The
Manx cat is now quite rare here in the UK,
with only a small number of breeders
dedicated to continuing this wonderful
breed. Because of this the gene pool needed
to be widened, which is why we decided that
it was crucial to our breeding program to
regularly import unrelated Manx cats from
the USA. This has enabled us to introduce
new colours – or colours which had
disappeared over the years due to the
shortage of cats available. During the year
of 2006 there were only 39 Manx kittens registered
with the GCCF, compared to 6353 British
Shorthairs –
during 2007 there was a drop to just 20 Manx
registered.
We have been breeding and showing Manx cats
since 1998. Our breeding program is aimed
towards producing mainly silver, white
(orange, blue and odd eyed), red and torties
in both longhair (Cymric) and shorthair ~
however many other colours are produced
along the way, visit our former danzante's
page to see just some of the colours
possible......
All our Manx are raised in our home they are
handled, kissed and cuddled daily. They
leave us at 13 weeks old
vaccinated against Flu and Enteritis, they are
also fully wormed and litter trained, come
with 4 weeks insurance cover and a goody bag
of their favourite things.
